Liu Zuliang, male, was born in Hunan in
1970, worked on clay sculptures and Taoist religious paintings.
His artworks are stylish in strange and
aestheticism, absurdism and depth. They speak a sense of humanity by showing
the relationship between humans and nature, as well as reflecting the potential
danger of its current unbalance status. He applies the Gongbi techniques in Chinese
paintings and creates a creepy, romantic, absurd, and deep feeling about his
paintings. His unique art style consists of fantasy, imaginary, and surreal
composition. The combination of humans and plants seems to be illogical but it
matches the core value of Taoism perfectly — “Everything originates in the
void” and “the behaviours of humans result in the reaction of nature”.
He has been selected in Ink Global 2017 as
one of the exhibited artists out of 500 elite artists.
