Zhao Hong Bin
Zhao Hong Bin, was born in Shanghai, China in 1952. He went to Australia in 1988 and became an Australian Citizen in 1995. He has held five solo show at AMP square, Art Galleries in Melbourne and in the National Tsing Hua University Art Centre Taiwan. He also selected in the 1993 Royal Overseas League International Annual Exhibition in London.
His works have been selected eight times by Shanghai Art Museum and Beijing Chinese Art Museum(77-85). They were also selected by Victorian Arts Centre(91), Australian National Maritime Museum(93), Art Gallery of South Australia(95), and Parliament House, Canberra(95).
In 1992, the portrait painting of ¡°Dr. Geza¡± was chosen one of the four finalists for excellence for the Doug Maran National Portrait prize at Sydney Opera House. Two years later, his portrait of G.. McMahom made him a finalist for the 1994 Archibald Prize, held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
He has won over 40 first prizes in the National Art Competitions in Australia. He received ¡°The World Lifetime Achievement Award¡± and ¡°The Order of International Ambassador¡± medal of honour in 1995 by the American Biographical Institute. He has been named ¡°International man of the year¡±.
For 1994-95 and received the ¡°Twentieth Century Award for Achievement by the International Centre, Cambridge.
His biography has been included in ¡°The Famous Figures of the contemporary Arts Circles in China¡±, ¡°Who¡¯s Who in Australia¡±, ¡°Dictionary of International Biography¡± and ¡°Who¡¯s Who in the World¡±.
His painting were mainly influenced by the impressionist artists artists of Monet, Renoir, Cezanne and Gauguin, and have been kept by the art lovers in Europe, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and etc¡
