Han Xuejun  

 

was born in 1968 in Beijing. In 1995 he graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in oil painting. During his college time, he won the first award in sketch and watercolor painting exhibition. His works were exhibited at the Seventh National Art Exhibition held at the China Art Gallery. Han Xuejun not only was inspired to paint from teachers but also was strongly influenced by the nature around him. After graduation, he traveled through Tibet and Qinghai. The magnificent scenery of the Qinghai-Tibet Highlands, local customs and the simple way of life of the people amazed him. From these kinds of experiences he has drawn endless inspiration and has discovered the “spiritual charm” of the majestic scenes. His works display the rich flavor of life and vivid regional characteristics.
