Choi Kin Yue was born in 1943 in Jinjiang County of Fujian Province in China. He graduated from Fujian Normal University in 1966 majoring in Fine Art. He is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association (Fujian Branch) and Director of Hong Kong Fujian Calligraphy and Painting Association.
Choi Kin Yue makes full use of the characteristics of lines and curves to depict the texture and acutance of the objects. With different handling of strokes, changeful yet rhythmic hatching and stippling, he meticulously outlined the beautiful countryside, the majestic waterfall and mountain range, the vigorous bough and bamboo rod, and the soft and graceful human body.
His works have been shown at Beijing Art Museum, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institution, and selected in National Art Exhibitions and Hong Kong Art Biennial. They are well received and collected in Europe, US and Southeast Asia.
