Facing the recent speculation phenomenon in the contemporary art market along with the drastic ups and downs of transaction prices, many people are doubtful about what art is and what qualify it as a good piece. The art of Chinese painting has a history of five thousand years. What is its true value? What is the spirit behind? What is its aesthetics? Which artists have sustained through the annals of history? What is the present situation and outlook of the art market in China? Facing these questions, Wan Fung Art Gallery has invited about sixty established artists from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas to exhibit their quality works.
