Preface

曾玲，女，1955年生，籍贯四川，1983年毕业于山西大学艺术系美术专业，主攻油画，作品多次参展，发表和获奖。名字与事迹列入《中国当代美术史1985--1986》、《中国前卫艺术》词条等。现供职于中国浙江传媒学院动画学院美术系，任副教授。

Ms Zen Ling was born from Sichuan of China in 1955. She graduated from the fine art faculty of Shanxi University (China) in 1983, and there are number of own her paintings were published and awarded the great number. Her name and achievements were recorded on the notes and books as ‘The modren art history of China 1985-1986’ and ‘The front-edge-art of China’. Now, she is assuming the vice professor in the carton and art faculty of Zhejiang University of Media Communication (China).

川女曾玲，长期生活在黄土高原，南国女子丰沛湿润的情感与才思，与北国的严峻酷烈荒寒，造就了一个独特的、奇异的、极其个人化和女性化的曾玲的艺术世界。她的《花的系列》、《树的系列》、以及后来的作品《花的历程》、《欲念》、《花语》系列等，就是她独有的、鲜明又诡谲的绘画语言，逐渐丰富和完成着对这一瑰丽世界的想象和构建。那些饱满肥腴色彩奇异的花朵，犹如女性神秘敏感美丽丰饶的肌体，热情和羞涩、反叛与温情、浪漫与尊严和谐共存，互为生命。这种内敛的、极具张力的浪漫激情，是黄土高原给一个南国女子的最珍贵的馈赠。

The daughter of Sichuan province was living in Loess Plateau of China over along period of time, and the plentiful and moist emotion and ideas conflict with the rigorous and fierce of the northern living that, it made an own her “Zen Ling’s extremely presonalized and feminined world” which is unique and magical. Her unique, bright and strange painting language opens up before audiences’ eyes by her paintings which as the early paintings of “Flower series”, “Tree series”, and then as the “the process of flowers”, “desire” and “flower whisper” etc afterwards. The all of her paintings are enriching and prefecting the imagination and establishment of this beautiful and magnificent world as continuous.

Regarding her paintings, the purity colourful and singular flowers just as the beauty’s body, sensitive and mysterious which are being as continuing the mutual depandence that means passion within shyness, insurgence mixing with tender feelings, and romantics existing with honors. A kind of romantic passion is reserved but with extreme tension which is Loess Plateau mkes a present of the most precious one for her.

曾玲就像一个绘画界的行吟诗人，固执地、深情地、自恋地讲述着女人的故事，用现代人的理念与东西方的古典绘画技法去表现独属于她自己的神秘语言。

Though mixing the modern creative idea and the performance of the cross-county cultural painting skills that, Ms Zen Ling is trying to tell own her unique and mystical language by her paintings. She stubbornly, affactionately and narcissistically tells these storys of women who as a troubadour in the painting plant. Her paintings are accounted into the autumn auction of ‘Xiling Seal-Engravers’ auction Ltd in the November 2010.
