《Ceramic Hong Kong·Art of Ho Tai Kwan》

Wan Fung Art Gallery proudly presents to you the ‘Ceramic Hong Kong‧Art of Ho Tai Kwan’ from 12 - 21 April in Hong Kong Wan Fung Art Gallery. The exhibition with different themes will be organized, covering lotus, frogs, loquat, and persimmon series. Most of the works are molded into the teapot shape, which is pretty practical and aesthetic.

‘You can cultivate your attitudes of patience, fortitude, and acceptance tempered through pottery’, this is Ho’s belief which drives him to continue his journey on pottery. He experiences our true nature with peaceful mind and inspired a lot from it. Persimmon is one of the most popular series of works by Ho.  Its smooth shiny surface with thick branches attracts many birds staying on it. The pottery appeared during the Neolithic ("The last stone age"), through thousands of years of development and now rooted in Hong Kong. Ho is one of the earliest artists setting up studio in Fo Tan who makes a significant contribution to the local pottery heritage in the past thirty years.
