Hong Kong Modern Ink Painting Society is organizing the "Invitational Exhibition of Hong Kong and Shanghai Contemporary Chinese Artists 2010" in Wan Fung Art Gallery from 12.06.2010 to 22.06.2010. The exhibition features more than forty artworks from twenty-three Hong Kong and Shanghai artists.
During the Shanghai Expo 2010 and the exhibition of the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial 2009, to enhance the cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Shanghai, the Hong Kong Modern Ink Painting Society has invited the famous Shanghai artists to join the renowned Hong Kong artists to participate in the "Invitational Exhibition of Hong Kong and Shanghai Contemporary Chinese Artists 2010". Through the friendly cooperation of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Artists, we believe that the event would achieve great success in promoting the development of modern Chinese ink paintings as well as Chinese culture.
The opening ceremony of the "Invitational Exhibition of Hong Kong and Shanghai Contemporary Chinese Artists 2010" will start at 5:30pm in Wan Fung Art Gallery. We have invited Mr. Liu Hanqi, theDeputy Director General of Publicity, Culture and Sports Department, of the Liaison Office of the Central People''''''''s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., Mr. Tang Hoi Chiu, the Chief Curator of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Ms. Paai Shiu Fan, the Chairwoman of the Hong Kong Modern Ink Painting Society as guests of Honor. The participating artists will also be present in the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony is open to public. Come and enjoy the masterpieces of our artists.
