Dong Xiyuan, born in Fujian Zhaoan in 1964, is a member of China Artists Association, Fujian CPPCC, the standing committee member of Fujian Province Youth Federation, a member of the 5th Fujian International Cultural and Economic Exchange Center and a committee member of CPPCC Fujian Provincial Committee on Cultural and Historical Data.
Over the years, Dong’s artworks have been published in several art books. Dong’s artwork, ’’Village Market’’,’’ Motherland Romance’’, ’’ Crest of Success’’, ’’ the Blessing of Mountains and Clouds’’, ’’ Sound of the Valley’’, ’’ Crane’s Melody’’, ’’ Splendid Bamboos‧Endurable Plum Blossom’’, ’’ Eternal Homeland’’, ’’ the Mountains in the Ocean of Clouds’’, ’’ A Picturesque Landscape’’, are respectively collected by Zhongnanhai, the Great Hall of the People, the Tiananmen square and the China Artists Association. 22 pieces of Dong’s works were selected by the Paramount Leader to be the covers of the Chinese New Year greeting cards in 2008. Since 1986, Dong’s exhibitions have toured around the major cities of China. Dong’s representative work ’’ Picturesque Landscape’’ is hung on the wall of Tiananmen Square since 2007. Dong is known as one of the most talented contemporary artists in China.
