Beijing Palace Museum’s Distinguished Imitations of Fine Arts Exhibition
27.02.2010 – 07.03.2010
The Palace Museum has a collection of more than 30000 art works from the ancient China. The eldest art piece is dated back to 1400 years ago. These fine arts have become national treasures after many hundred and thousand years of being collected and favored by the royal, they are also regarded as the world’s cultural heritage. In order to keep these art works so they can be passed on to our next generation, some artists have spent half or even most of their lives in the practice of imitation, simply because it is the only best way to retain the spirit and rhythm of each original art work, either calligraphy or painting. Welcoming China’s first World Exhibition, and in order to promote Chinese culture, we, Eastern Shanghai International Culture Film - Television Group, Shanghai Ming Yuan Group Co. Ltd., International Art Collectors Association (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Culture Association together have selected Mr. Zhang Rui-gen’s works to tour for the joy of our viewers’ eyes, Mr. Zhang has spent more than 30 years into imitating fine arts in the Palace Museum and his skills are regarded as unbeatable. Hong Kong will be the first stop of this world tour, it will then go around from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Europe to the U.S.
